Pokemon XY - Team Building

     Evening in Vaniville town, a group of pokemon are gathered around a small tree.  The team consists of a Greninja, Absol, Gardevoir, Haxorus, Lucario, and Charizard.  The team was recalling their recent travels with their trainer.

     “You know, for all we’ve travelled together, I still don’t know much about you guys.”  Said the Greninja, Li.

     “Really?” asked Grace, the Gardevoir.  “I thought with all your constant hiding in shadows, you would know everything.” She teased.

     “I don’t like to invade my friends’ privacy.”

     “Well,” the Haxorus joined the conversation “I have an idea.  A team building exercise if you will.”

     “What is it Emily?” Abigail, the Absol, asked.

     “Why don’t we share any experiences we have with any… intimate partners.”  Emily purred, making Abigail turn a bright red.

     “Emily!”  The Charizard exclaimed.

     “Calm down Jakiro! I’m just curious!”

     “I don’t see a problem with it,” Roland, the Lucario, said.  Finally joining the conversation.  “I mean, we’re all friends right?”

     “It’s settled then!”  Emily could barely contain her excitement, “Who’s going first?”

     “I will,” Abigail said.  “Well I haven’t had any… intimate partners.”

     “Really?” Roland raised an eyebrow, “A beautiful creature such as yourself?”  Abigail blushed.

     “Well I have had partners, just not… intimate,” Abigail stammered.  Roland gave a small, knowing smile that nobody noticed.  “I’m waiting for someone!” she said defensively. “Someone who is strong and caring.  He’s handsome, but I don’t know if he feels the same.”

     “I’m sure he does, whoever he is.”  Grace said, winking at Roland, who nodded in understanding.

     “Well, Emily, how about you?  This was your idea.”

     “Sure, I’ve had plenty of intimate partners.”  Emily said plainly, “but none of them last long.  But what I look for in a mate is someone who is strong and confident.”

     “Like Gary?” Jakiro interrupted.

     “Just like Gary!” Emily said, a dreamy look on her face.  The rest of the team just laughed.

     “How about you Grace?”

     “Well, I’m not sure if I’m at liberty to say…” Grace gave a nervous glance at Roland, who just nodded.  “Well, when I was a Kirlia and Roland was a Riolu, we were in an intimate relationship.”  Abigail’s face fell, which did not go unnoticed by Grace.  “But we made a mutual decision that it was better we stay friends.”  Abigail picked her head back up.

     “What about you Roland?” Abigail asked nervously.

     “Other than what Grace just told you, I haven’t been in any intimate relationships.”  Roland sighed, “I have had my eye on someone,” he smiled “and I’m pretty sure she feels the same way.”  Abigail looked hopeful, and sat closer to her friend Grace.

     “How about you tell us about yours, Li?”  Abigail asked.

     “Well, when I was still a Froakie in Professor Sycamore’s lab, Fennekin and I spent a lot of time together.  It was intimate, but it never went as far as…” everyone nodded in understanding.

     “Well I guess that leaves me!” Jakiro exclaimed “She was a Turtwig named Gina.  She was perfect, the nights we spent together by the lake.  I would roast her favorite Sitrus berries for her.  I wonder how she is doing now.”  Jakiro was gazing off.  The rest of the team looked at each other.

     “Well who knew Jakiro was a romantic?”  Grace asked, everyone else shrugged.  “Well! It’s getting pretty late.  Goodnight everyone!”

     Everyone said their farewells and went to their respective rooms.  Jakiro, however, was left staring into the sky, thinking about his former lover.
